Enep'ut Staff


Bryana Garcia-DeLaCruz, Administrative Director


Ms. Bryana has a Child Development Associate Credential and holds her AAS degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently working towards her BA in Child Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Administration. Her goal is to be a mentor for both the staff and children at Enep'ut.

She currently serves on the board for the Northern Interior Alaska Association for the Education of Young Children as the Branding Chair. She enjoys working with her hands on activities to engage the children, and she often enjoys the activities as much as the children.

She started volunteering at Enep’ut after hours about six years ago setting up the classrooms and preparing for lessons, and has worked directly with children since 2015. She loves coming up with new and exciting ideas for projects and is passionate about being involved in early childhood education.




Taylor Centner, Education Director


Ms. Taylor attended Enep’ut as a toddler! Taylor has been working and volunteering in the childcare field since she was 16 years old. She currently holds a Child Development Associate credential and is working towards a duel AAS in Early Childhood Education and Human Services with a concentration in Addictions Counseling and is about 3 semesters away from finishing! She currently serves on the board for the Northern Interior Alaska Association for the Education of Young Children as the Community Engagement Outreach co-chair.

Taylor has been working on things for Enep’ut for about 6 years now and started working directly with the children of Enep’ut in 2015. Outside of Enep’ut, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, going to the shooting range, and camping. She also volunteers with the Fairbanks Roller Derby and Interior Alaska Green Star.




Alfredo Quiroga, Lead Teacher


Mr. Alfredo is a fun, food-loving, outgoing person who wants to make a difference in the lives of our youth. He currently serves on the board for the Northern Interior Alaska Association for the Education of Young Children as Membership Chair and Technical Support, He believes that the examples and things we teach them will guide their path and choices they make.

Mr. Alfredo likes to teach children in ways that are fun and easy to learn, and he loves seeing their bright, cute faces when they are excited about something new. He is currently going to school to pursue his associates in early childhood education than his bachelors in child development and family studies and eventually his masters in special education.

When he is not working or in school, Mr. Alfredo is usually at home cooking, watching TV, reading, crocheting, hanging out with friends or dancing which is his other passion outside of work.




Chanda Peters, Lead Teacher


Ms. Chanda has worked with Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. She is currently a student at UAF working towards her Associates in Early Childhood Education. She currently serves on the board for the Northern Interior Alaska Association for the Education of Young Children as Secretary. She enjoys visiting with family and friends in her spare time. As well as, reading and watching Disney Movies.




Shannan Turner, Assistant Teacher


Ms. Shannan likes taking care of children. She is known for her creativity; she can think of a dozen ways to use or make an item, and she encourages the children to do the same. Ms. Shannan’s background is in childcare for the younger set (7 years) and also as a volunteer, Library Assistant, and literature and math lab tutor for Barnette Magnet School (2 years).

In her spare time, she continues to volunteer for Barnette, Ester Library, and International Order of Rainbow Girls. As a side note, Ms. Shannan and her nieces and nephews attended Enep’ut as children. That’s full circle!




Emily Stallings, Assistant Teacher


Ms. Emily loves taking care of children. She loves to do arts and crafts with the children to see where their creativity takes them. She is currently working on her CDA classes and going back to school in the fall for her associates in Early Childhood Education and then Bachelors in Child Development and Family Studies and Psychology. Outside of work, she hangs out with her dog and her niece.




Kalyn Whidden, Assistant Teacher


Mrs. Kalyn loves spending time with her husband and loves all dogs but especially loves Corgis. She comes from a big family so being around children is second nature. She hopes to start working toward her CDA credential or AAS in Early Childhood Education in the near future! She will be enrolled at UAF in the spring.




Jamie Nashookpuk, Assistant Teacher


Jamie is Alaskan Yup’ik and a mom of four boys, one of whom attends Enep’ut full time in the toddler room. She decided at a very young age that she wanted to be an early childhood educator after realizing she had a joy and a gift for it. Before coming to Enep’ut, she worked with the school district in the Alaska Room for three years, teaching elementary kids about Alaska Native cultures.

Brittany Hutton, Assistant Teacher


Miss Brittany loves being in a caregiver position! From working in a mental health setting for local youth to working as a caregiver for the disabled and elderly. She believes in strong care for mental health. She spends her time sewing clothes, playing the piano, and doing photography!




Olivia Sala, Assistant Teacher


Ms. Olivia enjoys helping children grow into their individual personalities and expanding on their creativity. Ms. Olivia's passion for guiding children flourished when her nine older siblings started having her nieces and nephews and she realized how special the teaching profession was.

From then on, she worked towards getting as many certifications as possible in person, online, and through the American Red Cross, trying to set herself up for success in the field. Now, she is working towards her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education at UAF as well as her CDA.

In her spare time, Ms. Olivia loves to do special effects makeup, paint, draw, write and spend time with family.
