Enep'ut Staff


Bryana Garcia-DeLaCruz

Position: Administrative Director


Ms. Bryana has a Child Development Associate Credential and holds her AAS degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently working towards her BA in Child Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Administration. Her goal is to be a mentor for both the staff and children at Enep'ut.

She currently serves on the board for the Northern Interior Alaska Association for the Education of Young Children as the Branding Chair. She enjoys working with her hands on activities to engage the children, and she often enjoys the activities as much as the children.

She started volunteering at Enep’ut after hours about six years ago setting up the classrooms and preparing for lessons, and has worked directly with children since 2015. She loves coming up with new and exciting ideas for projects and is passionate about being involved in early childhood education.




Taylor Centner

Position: Education Director


Ms. Taylor attended Enep’ut as a toddler! Taylor has been working and volunteering in the childcare field since she was 16 years old. She currently holds an AAS in Early Childhood Education. She is currently working towards finishing another AAS in Human Services and a BA in Child Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Curriculum and Teaching. She currently serves on the board for the Northern Interior Alaska Association for the Education of Young Children as the Membership Co-Chair: Tech Support.
Taylor has been working on things for Enep’ut for about 6 years now and started working directly with the children of Enep’ut in 2015. Outside of Enep’ut, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, going to the shooting range, and camping. She also volunteers with the Fairbanks Roller Derby and Interior Alaska Green Star.




Alfredo Quiroga

Position: Lead Teacher


Mr. Alfredo is a fun, food-loving, outgoing person who wants to make a difference in the lives of our youth. He believes that the examples and things we teach them will guide their path and choices they make.Mr. Alfredo likes to teach children in ways that are fun and easy to learn, and he loves seeing their bright, cute faces when they are excited about something new. He currently holds his AAS in Early Childhood Education. He is currently working towards his BA in Child Development and Family Studies.
When he is not working or in school, Mr. Alfredo is usually at home cooking, watching TV, reading, crocheting, hanging out with friends or dancing which is his other passion outside of work. 




Shannan Turner

Position: Assistant Teacher


Ms. Shannan likes taking care of children. She is known for her creativity; she can think of a dozen ways to use or make an item, and she encourages the children to do the same. Ms. Shannan’s background is in childcare for the younger set (7 years) and also as a volunteer, Library Assistant, and literature and math lab tutor for Barnette Magnet School (2 years).

In her spare time, she continues to volunteer for Barnette, Ester Library, and International Order of Rainbow Girls. As a side note, Ms. Shannan and her nieces and nephews attended Enep’ut as children. That’s full circle!




Kyla Teat

Position: Assistant Teacher


Ms. Kyla loves taking care of children. She is almost done with her BA in Child Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Curriculum and Teaching. Kyla has been working and volunteering with children since her first caregiver job at the age of 11. She is fun, outgoing, passionate, and creative and loves to bring those same qualities out of the children she works with! In her spare time, Ms. Kyla, loves to explore the outdoors, draw, listen to music, and hang with family and friends.




Kendra Phillips

Position: Assistant Teacher


Ms. Kendra loves working with children and wants to learn how to help them succeed in their futures. She has been an auntie and helped her sister with her nephews and niece, and other various friends and family members since she was roughly eight years old. She loves Enep'ut and all of the adventures she faces with the children daily. In her free time, she spends most of her time with her five dogs!




Lillian Gengler

Position: Assistant Teacher


Ms. Lillian is currently working towards her AAS in Early Childhood Education and then plans to continue her education at UAF and get a BA in Child Development and Family Studies. Lillian has been working and volunteering with children since her first babysitting job at age 12. In her free time, she enjoys painting, playing instruments, and spending time with her friends and family.




Tierney Kootuk

Position: Assistant Teacher


Ms. Tierney comes from a big family so she enjoys being around children. She’s creative, outgoing, and passionate about learning new things. She is currently working on attending GCU in the spring for a nursing degree. In her free time she likes to be active, spend time with her family, and go on outdoor adventures.
