Administrative Director: Starrlita Kosterman

Certifications and Degrees: Seed Level 7, Child Development Associate, ECE College Coursework, Behavior Therapy Training, CPR and First Aid Certificate

Hello and welcome to Enep’ut Children’s Center! My name is Starr, and I am honored to serve as the Director. Working with children and families has been my passion for more than 20 years, and I truly love watching children learn, grow, and discover the world around them.

Throughout my career, I have completed college coursework in Early Childhood Education, earned my Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, and had the privilege of serving as a Lead Teacher at an Army Child Development Center, where I worked closely with military families. These experiences have shaped my belief that every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where they can thrive.

As Director, my goal is to create a center where children feel loved, families feel welcomed, and staff feel supported. I believe that strong partnerships between families and educators are the foundation of a child’s success, and I strive to make Enep’ut a place where everyone feels like they belong.

When I’m not at the center, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband and our six children, enjoying Alaska’s outdoors, or working on new ideas to make Enep’ut an even better place for our families. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your child’s early learning journey. I look forward to getting to know your family and watching your child grow with us!
